I got after last week's lesson on teaching you  for your skin in the sun would be a really good thing to have in the summer time we're having all the fun out there by by the water and especially careful the first rule of thumb when you were swimming is to never swim alone if you were a young child or a non-swimmer you always make sure that you have a responsible adult with you one who is watch responsible Delta's not a teenager on their cell phone you need to have mama or daddy or an aunt or grandmother grandfather who had their eyes on you with all those water Watchers they are Counting children they are looking at all times eyes only takes a second for a child to drown and Daddy please even a little kitty swimming pool out in your in your backyard you know if somebody needs to be watching young children at all times if you are a common swimmer never get out there by yourself in a swimming pool we want to talk about today some things that can help you stay safe the first thing that I will tell you is that you need to have black jacket this life jacket is going to keep you stay in a boat if you're fishing from the bank on a creek or a lake and you are a non-swimmer make sure that you have a certified life jackets on you at all times for younger children they make them where they actually have a piece that goes into the bottom that goes between the legs to make sure they don't slip out of it but you don't want him that's too big or you don't want one that's too small that won't it won't snap make sure that this is on you at all times especially if you are a non-swimmer if you're in a boat not laying in your boat but on your body or your person at all times another thing so that we can have would be a pool noodle if you're swimming in a pool and maybe you're a weak swimmer or you're afraid that you might just use when the little bit you might get tired of his handy it can wrap around you you can hold to and it will keep you up in the water now you to rest a minute and cheeks out to the sides of the water another Pool also for for beginning swimmers would be what we call a swim Bore kit bored and you hold it out in front of you and it allows you practice your kicking but it also gives you a device to hold onto if you get tired if you get panicked you can grab that for very young children I would suggest that you purchased a puddle jumper better than those blow up floaties it is a flotation device made specially for younger children I am because it has the piece in front it make sure that this child always come up on their back and never go into the water will always bring the child up their back now we have a rule that says reach or throw don't go a swimmer who is in trouble is a panic switch and that means that they are flailing they have their arms in their hands in their grabbing and they're panicked the best thing that you can learn to do for yourself is to learn how to swim take it slow find somebody to teach you find a good season swimmer to show how to swim if you were in a situation where somebody is having trouble do not go in after them even if you are a pretty good swimmer we always want you to reach for the stars lay on this side of the pool on the side of the river or creek he want to reach out to them with your hand and try to catch them with your hand if they are too far out finds something to reach out to them if you're in the pool most pools have a skimmer and this has a really really long tall as you can stay so you can take that skimmer basket and either way with the Paul or you can take it with the net in and you can reach out to them if I can grab call me when you can.
