The team at Osyka Elementary School was delighted to welcome the amazing Coach Larry Calhoun, division director of the Office of Healthy Schools at the Mississippi Department of Education. With more than 25 years of experience in education, Coach Calhoun is committed to motivating students throughout the state to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle. 💪
On November 5, Coach Calhoun had the joy of visiting Osyka Elementary School, where he conducted a school-wide assembly for students in Pre-K through 6th grade. He shared invigorating exercises and essential healthy habits, focusing on inspiring our youth to get fit and maintain their fitness!
In collaboration with The Bower Foundation, the Move to Learn initiative is creating a positive impact in Mississippi schools by offering students enjoyable and engaging physical activity opportunities. To date, Move to Learn has reached over 67 schools, benefiting an impressive 36,118 students! 🏫✨
